ROAR WIN A-LEAGUE GRAND FINAL!!!

A amazing grand final game to say the least has concluded on the weekend, with Brisbane Roar hosting the Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League Grand Final on Sunday.
The game was a sell out with more than 51,000 people attending, with almost 20,000 making the trek from Sydney to fill the Red and Black Bloc (RBB) .
The first half the Wanderers looked the better team, controlling the ball and making opportunities to score. However, neither team were able to score in the first half.
Ten minutes into the second half saw defender Matthew Spiranovic, from the Wanderers, head in a goal from a corner kick. This saw the Wanderers take the lead 1-0.
In the 64th minute, there was a massive blow to the Wanderers camp when captain Nikolai-Topor Stanley twisted his knee making a crucial tackle. This weakened the Wanderers midfield where they are excellent at controlling the ball.
Wanderers started playing more defensively to protect their lead, as the captain was no longer there to help them push the ball forward.
Wanderers were five minutes from winning when Berisha headed in a free kick, to put the Roar level at 1-1.
The game then went into extra time. Six minutes in Wanderers substitute Haliti made a brilliant shot which was saved by the Roar keeper. However, both teams failed to convert any goals in the first part of extra time.
Two minutes into the second period of extra time saw Brazilian born Henrique slot in a goal to seal the victory for the Roar. The Brisbane Roar were Victorious in the A-League grand final, with a 2-1 win over the Western Sydney Wanderers.
